Best Practices in Technology Adoption and Acquisition Strategies

This policy and practices brief is based upon presentations and discussions held during the joint African Tax Administration Forum (ATAF) and the WU Global Tax Policy Centre at the Institute for Austrian and International Tax Law, Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU GTPC) virtual workshop. It highlights two key steps in the digitalisation process, the role of a digital transformation roadmap for African tax administrations and the importance of including a comprehensive assessment and acquisition strategy for tax administrations highlighting best practices from case studies presented during the joint ATAF and WU GTPC virtual workshop.
