The ATAF Women in Tax Network brought together 37 senior women leaders from 20 countries for its Leadership Development Programme for Executives, focused on strengthening leadership practice within tax administrations and related institutions.

Participants from tax administrations, ministries of finance, the private sector and academia engaged in discussions and case-based sessions, reflecting on their leadership journeys and the realities they navigate within their organisations.

Under the theme “Leading Self, Leading Others, Leading with Impact,” the programme explored leadership identity alongside the day-to-day demands of leading teams, influencing decisions and driving change.

Sessions addressed practical leadership situations, including handling difficult decisions, delegating effectively and leading in complex environments. Participants shared experiences, exchanged perspectives and worked through challenges together.

Mentorship also featured in the discussions, with participants reflecting on their role in supporting other women within their institutions and creating opportunities for others to grow.
